Addo Rose Fayre - 2019
We’ve spent countless months planning our event, and we cannot be prouder of representing Addo and the Sundays River Valley at its finest. We look forward to host you and your whole family for a relaxed day in the country. There is something to do for the whole family - young and old. You will be able to enjoy all our fabulous stalls, kids’ entertainment, paintball target shooting, live music, garden tours, fabulous eats from our Rose Café, wine tastings, gin and beer on tap and much more...
And of course - our Valentine Hall which hosts our Rose Café will have roses from the gardens of our Valley. This is not the Grand Rose Show of the past, but a modern tribute to the ladies of the Women's Institute who have done so much for our Valley.

Romancing the Rose
This year our theme for the hall will be 'Romancing the Rose'.
This is a nod to the Addo Rose Show's 'for the Love of the Rose' theme. We have a newly painted hall and we are inspired by the beautiful gardens in our valley. We are eco-warriors rummaging through farm sheds, reusing, recycling and upcycling what we have to present our romantic, rustic vision to you. We are busy pruning and pampering our roses to ensure that we are ready to welcome you to our Fayre with open arms.

Our Goals
Women supporting the Sundays River Valley
Supporting us has never been easier, and any contribution will be appreciated. We organise several fundraisers a year and support community projects, schools and other initiatives which lie close to our hearts. Below is a breakdown of our history and our community involvement
About
NPO
The Sundays River Valley Women's Institute is a NPO of country women coming together to collectively find solutions to problems.
The Rose Fayre started in 1983 and this show is still inspired and overseen by the Sunday's River Women's Institute members, many of whom are direct descendants of those intrepid women who founded the initial group almost a century ago.
History
Est. 1920
In 1920 the Addo Women's Association was founded by the intrepid pioneer women of Addo - newly settled citizens from Britain who relocated as the wives of farmers who had bought land from Sir Percy Fitzpatrick's Sundays River Settlement Scheme. In 1923, they renamed their association to The Sundays River Women's Institute and developed an outstanding reputation of raising funds for charity, serving the needs of the community for the last 96 years.
Our Community
Fundraisers
We arrange several fundraisers a year of which the Rose Fayre is our main event. Moneys raised are ploughed back into our community projects, schools, and upliftment projects. We partner with other NPO's, churches, schools and the agricultural industry in our communities to find valuable projects to contribute to.
